I had owned and shown Yorkies for twenty years before I started to breed them. This may sound strange, but I was all the time during these years more interested in showing than in breeding! For me, breeding requires a great deal of time and emotion.
My first litter was born in 1991. The only reason to make puppies then, was to get a nice and good Yorkie for myself. Later, I still haven't been a very active breeder - I usually have only one litter per year. I have kept on my mind one principle: for me the quality is more important than the number of litters in breeding.
I lead a normal family life with my Yorkies. They are all dearly beloved family members whose needs are individually taken care of. I want to offer all my Yorkies a good and high quality of life. That's the main reason why I always keep a rather small number of dogs. I always want to breed Yorkies with carefully planned mating to get high quality puppies. Those puppies that I couldn't have kept for myself, have got their new loving homes with my friends or acquaintances. So far, it has worked really well. We do have a common hobby: Yorkies!

I use healthy and breed standard dogs in my breeding program. My goal is to produce Yorkies with good health, stylish propotions and movement, with correct colours (shiny dark steel blue and golden tan), and with correct silky coat quality.

I have connected two good bloodlines: Deebees and Candytops. Both from England. I have found this very successful in my breeding program. Multi Ch Deebees Goldies Toy Boy and Fin Ch Candytops Candlelight have produced very high quality progenies. After doing proper breeding for some years now, I have been so lucky to get a number of national and international champions.
Kennel Morpheus was BIS-1 Breeder at the Finnish Toy Dog Association's Championship Show 2001.
